About the location
Europe's oldest briquette factory, exactly 140 years old, shut down for 30 years and preserved as a technical monument for cultural operations, bore the name "Eintracht" shortly after it was built and when it was transferred to a mining company. At that time, all machines were steam-driven. Heating briquettes were pressed here until 1991. The associations of steam and concentrated energy under the name Eintracht might appeal to the masters of jazz music, who are filling the place acoustically again this year.
