Theater resumes »Sei gegrüßt und lebe!«
Staatsschauspiel Dresden is reviving the Lausitz Festival 2023 production »Sei gegrüßt und lebe!« again. The scenic reading delves into the correspondence between the writers Christa Wolf and Brigitte Reimann.
Christa Wolf and Brigitte Reimann were the most prominent female authors in GDR. Two extraordinary women who held on to the ideal of a fairer, a better society – regardless of all dogmas and constraints. Both shared a deep friendship which is reflected in letters they wrote to each other and diary entries between the years 1963 and 1973.
Christine Hoppe and Fanny Staffa are the actresses who lend their voices and personas to writers Christa Wolf and Brigitte Reimann.
