The ninth commandment, »Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife«, is examined in a powerful manner in the ninth part of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s »Dekalog« series. Roman is impotent. His wife Hanka is still in love with him but is physically unfaithful. When Hanka’s young lover refuses to be ignored, the danger of death is added to the complications of love.
