»Gölgeler Içinde« – »In the Shadows«
In this dystopian Sci-Fi thriller set in a dilapidated mine in an undefined place and time, the miners are controlled by an all-powerful surveillance apparatus. Zait, played by German-Turkish action star Numan Acar, begins to question this autocratic system and vows to fight it. In epic images, we see the alienation and dehumanization of those trapped within the system, even as they cling to a faint remnant of hope. The German short film »Das Geschwür« [The Tumour] will be shown at the beginning of the evening. Directed by Tom Bewilogua, this film also depicts the search for meaning in an oppressive environment.
