About the production

Others  may be brooding endlessly over the right words for a song. The passengers on the KunstBUS on 16 August 2025 take it easy for themselves: they grab a piece of paper, write a line of text on it, pinch the paper and pass it on to their neighbour, who in turn writes a line underneath without knowing what is written above it. The duo LeDazzo with singer Lena Hauptmann and guitarist Dan Baron – world-famous in Lusatia – then spontaneously conjures up songs for eternity from the text material obtained in this way, which are immediately performed in the rolling playground of song poetry.

With this small intervention, the Lausitz Festival is holding up its Lausitzlieder project, which was launched in 2024 and is set to enter a new phase in 2026.

The KunstBUS project, framework for this spontaneous songwriting described above, has been running in Upper Lusatia for eleven years now. The buses will be touring the region again on 16 and 17 August. The trips go via Berthelsdorf, Herrnhut, Löbau, Krobnitz and Gröditz and take travellers to new and lesser-known places of art and culture. You can get on or off the bus at any time.
