Presentation of the Ephraim Project 2022/2023
They set out from Berlin – two students in the scenic writing program at the University for the Arts (UdK): Anton Dudda and Maximilian Rummel. They intrepidly trekked throughout the Lausitz, digging deeply into the region’s history, even acquiring a literal overview of the area from a hot-air balloon. And along the way they found the inspiration to write two fantastic (in every sense of the word) theater texts.
Anton August Dudda: »Hotel Lausitz«
Paul, after a failed career as a big-city detective, has withdrawn to the Lausitz. In these provincial surroundings he conducts field research and dreams of becoming a writer. But as the village is increasing covered in fog, people begin to mysteriously disappear. Paul must take action.
Maximilian Rummel: »Skia« (AT)
Two cartographers are surveying abandoned open-pit mines for a new holiday resort. In the course of removing layers of sediment, epochs and eras seem to become dislocated and jumbled. How else to explain the presence of two Baroque noblemen wandering around Saxony with measuring instruments in the service of August the Great? Doppelgängers create confusion and conversations with the dead are nothing unusual.
Katharina Stehr
Katharina Stehr schloss 2011 am Hamburger Schauspiel-Studio Frese ihr Schauspielstudium mit Diplom ab und war danach Ensemblemitglied am Landestheater Linz und am Theater Konstanz, wo sie von 2020 bis 2022 auch als Theaterpädagogin arbeitete. Seit der Spielzeit 2022/2023 ist sie Schauspielerin und Theaterpädagogin am Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau.
Clara Luna Deina
Clara Luna Deina, geboren 1995, studierte Schauspiel an der Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg und wurde dort 2020 mit dem Stipendium der Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes ausgezeichnet. Bereits während des Studiums spielt Luna in verschiedenen Produktionen, unter anderem am Staatschauspiel Stuttgart und am Theater Konstanz. Seit der Spielzeit 2022/2023 ist sie Teil des Ensembles der neuen Bühne Senftenberg.
Karl Seibt
Karl Seibt, geboren 1988 in Erfurt, studierte an der Filmuniversität Babelsberg Schauspiel. Neben Produktionen des öffentlich-rechtlichen Fernsehens ist er ist zurzeit im Schauspielstudio am Theater Chemnitz zu sehen.
Nils Müller
Nils Eric Müller, geboren 1995 im Münsterland, arbeitete zunächst als Theaterpädagoge. Ab 2018 studierte er an der Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg Schauspiel. Unter anderem spielte er am Staatstheater Karlsruhe unter der Regie von Anna Bergmann. Seit der Spielzeit 2022/2023 ist er Ensemblemitglied am Stadttheater Gießen.
