What holds people together? How do the many I's become a collective we that is not merely the sum of the individuals and sees itself as an organic political body? Why should the individual be freer as part of a community than on their own? Our society is currently characterised by loss-making events and experiences. This leads to the spread of political affects such as anger and resentment, which shake the foundations of a community and threaten the project of peaceful coexistence. How do such political affects arise and what can counteract them?

This year's edition of the Lausitz Lab takes three of the festival's productions as starting points for discussion and reflection: »Sonnet Factory«, »Othello / The Strangers« and »Müller & Müller«. Based on the productions and the inspirational word unsbewusst, the question of the challenges and at the same time possible freedoms of a conscious community of the many will be discussed.
